Nano Dimension reports sales of more than 50 electronics 3D printing systems

Nano Dimension has reportedly sold more than 50 of its electronics additive manufacturing systems worldwide.

Based on figures collected since the launch of its commercial sales in Q4 2017, the Israel-based manufacturer says the milestone validates the need for its DragonFly technology, which enables allows engineers and designers to rapidly prototype multi-layer printed circuit boards (PCBs).

“We are excited to announce the sale of our 50th DragonFly system for additive manufacturing of electronics. Nano Dimension started with a breakthrough idea to change the way the electronics are made and to offer new solutions to develop innovative smart products,” said Amit Dror, CEO of Nano Dimension. “I’m proud that our dream has become a reality, as our global customers from various industries validate our unique technology by adopting our solutions and using them to develop and manufacture never-seen-before applications. We celebrate this important milestone as we continue to focus on increasing our global reach and our customer base.”

The company’s most recent sales went to two unnamed customers in Europe including a government authority in the defense sector and a leading tech corporation, bringing its total machine sales to 51, 21 of which were sold in 2019 alone.

Earlier this year, the UK’s Manufacturing Technology Centre became the first facility in the UK to purchase one of Nano Dimension’s new Lights-Out Digital Manufacturing (LDM) systems, designed for the round the clock 3D printing of electronic circuitry. The majority of the company’s machines, including the DragonFly 2020 Pro and LDM, have been delivered to customers in the defense, tech, electronics and research sectors across the US, EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions.

Yesterday the company also announced selected preliminary unaudited estimates for Q3 2019 and reported record quarterly revenues of approximately 2.2 million, representing 32% growth year-over-year.
