Paul K Oldroyd joins NCDMM Board of Directors

The USA’s National Center for
Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), Blairsville, Pennsylvania, has
announced the election of Paul K Oldroyd to its Board of Directors.
Oldroyd fills the position which was left vacant by former board member Dean
Bartles’ appointment to NCDMM President and CEO.

NCDMM delivers innovative and
collaborative manufacturing solutions that enhance the USA’s workforce and
economic competitiveness. It also manages the US’s national accelerator for
Additive Manufacturing: America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing
Innovation Institute.

Oldroyd currently serves as a
Technical Fellow, Engineering & Manufacturing Process Development for Bell
Flight / Textron Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, USA. NCDMM reported that, throughout
his thirty-five year career at Bell Flight, he has gained extensive experience
in many areas of technology development and maturation, engineering, design,
R&D, engineering and manufacturing management. 

Oldroyd has also served on
numerous advisory boards, steering committees, panels and councils, and holds
forty-four patents for process and product inventions. He is a recipient of the
‘Donald C Burnham International Award for Excellence in Manufacturing
Management’ from SME, a two-time recipient of the ‘Robert L Pinkney Award for
Excellence in Manufacturing Innovation from the American Helicopter Society
International, and a two-time recipient of the ‘Textron Chairman’s Award for

stated Dean Bartles, NCDMM President and CEO. “I am confident that he
will leverage his extensive and accomplished career experience, offering
innovative insights and unique perspectives as a member of the NCDMM board. I

continued contributions and work on behalf of our organisation.”
