German additive manufacturing leader EOS GmbH has announced the appointment of Marie Langer as its new Chief Executive Officer along with an immediate restructuring of company management.
Langer, daughter of EOS founder Dr. Hans J. Langer, will assume the role with immediate effect to focus on strategic positioning, marketing and communications, as well as corporate culture, organisational and people development. Prior to the move, Langer has held various positions within EOS management and its supervisory board including leading its Social Venture Program and taking on corporate and business development across the wider EOS GROUP.
Langer commented: “30 years of personal commitment at all levels and our shared culture have made us into the highly successful company we are today. We have successfully harnessed the pioneering spirit of the early years and combined it with the expertise of a global market leader.
“From both a technological and an organisational perspective, EOS is optimally positioned for a successful future. My vision is that EOS stays at the cutting edge of industrial 3D printing technology and that the company makes a sustainable contribution towards solving the huge challenges facing us today. Further to the leadership announcement, the company’s former CTO Dr. Tobias Abeln and CCOO Bertrand Humel van der Lee are said to be leaving the company by mutual agreement. Previous CEO Dr. Adrian Keppler will now take on the role of Managing Director focused on the development of customer and partner relationships, while Managing Director, Eric Paffrath will continue to oversee commercial responsibility for EOS GmbH and head up its Finance, Business Administration and Information Technology divisions.

The company, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has introduced a new product line-oriented structure comprising four central divisions: metal systems, polymer systems and materials, software and innovation. Today’s news is said to help maximise the company’s position in a dynamic and constantly evolving market.
