The Paris Air Show, aka SIAE 2019, aka Salon Le Bourget, is opening today for its 53rd edition, the most AM-centric in the century-long history of the event. We will be bringing you video and photo reportages from all AM activity at Salon Le Bourget over the next few days. In the meantime, if you are attending, here are is some key info you should know.
The International Paris Air Show is organised by the SIAE, a subsidiary of GIFAS, the French Aerospace Industries Association. The 53rd Show will take place at the Le Bourget Parc des Expositions and once again will bring together all the players in this global industry around the latest technological innovations. The first four days of the Show will be reserved for trade visitors, followed by three days open to the general public.
Getting to the Paris Air Show 2019
In Paris, you can travel by RER (which are suburban trains that connect to the subway lines at some stations). You can take the RER Line B to the Station “Le Bourget” and from there take a free shuttle offered by Viparis, Aéroports de Paris and the Comité Régional du Tourisme Paris Ile-de-France. You can also go to the Villepinte Station, also on RER Line B and then take free shuttles but only on the days of general public access, from 23rd to 25th June 2017.
Alternatively you can take the standard subway and buses: Subway Line 7 or Tramway 1 to Station “La Courneuve – 8 mai 1945 and then bus n°152 in the direction of Gonesse ZAC des Tulipes Nord (or Le Blanc-Mesnil ZA du Pont Yblon). Get off at Michelet – Parc des Expositions. Or you can get off at Fort d’Aubervilliers Station and take a free shuttle. If you take the Subway Line 12 you should get off at Porte de la Chapelle Station and then take bus n°350 in the direction of Roissypole. Get off at “Michelet – Parc des Expositions” (Note that Bus n°350 stops at Gare du Nord, Gare de l’Est and Porte de la Chapelle). Finally, you can also take the Tram 11 Express from Epinay sur Seine to Le Bourget. For more information on public transport in Paris and the suburb, you can visit the RATP’s website.
